Gu, Associate Professor Baihe

Baihe Gu is an Associate Professor at the Institutes of Science and Development, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He got his PhD in Management Science at the University of CAS, and BA at the University of Science and Technology of China. He is a contributing author to the IPCC AR6 WGIII. His research focuses on climate and energy policy both in China and abroad. Recently, he has been doing some research on China’s low carbon policy design and evaluation, international climate cooperation between China and other countries (US, EU, and BRI countries), renewable energy supply chain (Solar PV and transition minerals for now).
Some of his research have supported the climate policy design and improvement in China, including NDC update, duel carbon “I+N” policy systems. He has provided scenario analysis for the “China-US Joint Statement on Climate Change” in 2014, and offered technical support for China’s participation in international climate negotiations since 2018.
