Darren Gilmour is the Executive Director of the Royal Society of Canada (RSC). Born and raised in New Brunswick, Darren did his graduate studies in Nairobi, Kenya.

During the time of Darren’s leadership since 2008, the RSC has acquired and renovated its headquarters in downtown Ottawa; created The College of New Scholars; organized a COVID-19 pandemic response featuring 700 Canadian experts; and enhanced its role as the voice of science in Canada and around the world.
