Prof Hassan Y Al Ayied is the Head of the Delegation for the Inception Meeting and holds a PhD in Entomology. He has 26 years of experience in R&D. He is the Senior Adviser to the KACST president for International Relationships and G20, and the General Secretary for the MENA region at the Global Research Council (GRC). He leads the Saudi negotiating team for Science20 and participated in the Research Innovation Initiative Gathering (RIIG) and the Chief Science Adviser Roundtable (CSAR) under the G20 Indian presidency in 2023.  He is also head of Saudi negotiating team for Science20 of 2024 in Brazil.  Prof Al Ayied co-chaired the 9th Meeting of G20 Agricultural Chief Scientists (MACS) during the Saudi Arabian presidency in 2020 and was a member of the Saudi delegation at the 8th MACS under the Japanese presidency in 2019. He has held senior positions in KACST and the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture (MEWA), and has numerous publications patency.
